Maya Rahman-Rios was born and raised in Northern California. She has always been interested in writing, fashion, and beauty. Her love for storytelling led her to Chapman University, where she completed her BFA in Creative Writing and a minor in History. She served in several leadership positions while strengthening her writing skills during her time at Chapman. Her written work has been published in Chapman’s literary journal and Beckett Media’s Civil Rights Movement publication. She also worked as a Freelance Editor for a year before discovering that she preferred writing her own content over editing other people’s work. In 2016, she received Chapman’s John Fowles Literary Arts Award for one of her short stories. She has also held internships in both the publishing industry and the fashion industry. At her most recent internship, she discovered her love for marketing, social media, and influencer outreach, which then led her to MDX Global.

As MDX Global’s Marketing Assistant, Maya is responsible for maintaining our clients’ social media channels, where she communicates with fans while growing our network. She also produces content for the Sebamed USA blog, creating each story to be more engaging than the last. She hopes to continue learning the ins and outs of inbound marketing while working on her own creative side projects.
